Hi everyone
The coming January will be the 3rd cruise for my wife and I. We're reasonably young, 27 and 28.
This time around, we're excited to be bringing along some family members who will be first time cruisers (mostly young couples - a 3 yr old, and our parents).
We've narrowed it down to the following:
* southern caribbean
* Panama Canal
* mexican riviera
(we've ommitted E. and W. Carribean since those of us who have cruised before, already did those itineraries and want to try something new).
But we know nothing about these itineraries.
Maybe you can tell us what you would pick and why.
On the E. Caribbean, we liked the shopping and that there was much to see & do on your own, w/out paying extra for excursions.
On western, we loved the excursions, but otherwise, there wasn't much else.
We'll probably be light on the excursions. Meaning we'll probably do 1, but not more.
Therefore, we would want an itinerary that is a little more exciting, and has more to do on our own, than the W. Caribbean.
So, to sum it up, i'm curious to learn about people's experiences and opinions on the S. Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Mexican Itineraries.
Any preferences? suggestions? islands of interest?
BTW - we're huge fans of Princess, so that's likely the line we will go with.
Thanks in advance.
(and yes, I realize my sig needs to be updated)
