Has anyone taken the Jitney buses to Coki or Sapphire beaches? I remember taking the Jitney Airbus, which was a $1 or $2 transfer one way to Red Hook. I was wondering if the Jitney goes to any of the beaches and if so is it an easy return to get the taxi back to the ship. We are a family of 6 and thought this as a good idea, as a taxi for 6 is quite pricey, if all we want to do is go to the beach. I was hoping someone had an idea on the Jitney Airbus that would help us out. We thought of doing the Godfrey Tour but it would be $150. for us just to go to the beach. Thanks in advance For your help!!!!!!!!

Not sure about the Jitney Airbus, but there are plenty of cabs, vans and multi-passenger open air vehicles at the pier willing to take you to whatever beach you choose. I would not pay the inflated prices they charge for a tour if it was only taking you to a beach and back. We have always been able to make our own transportation arrangements at the pier and most times the driver has come back to pick us up at an agreed upon time. Also there are usually a good number of taxis and vans at the major beaches that will take you back to the ship when you (not the tour guide) decide you want to return.
