Hi. Our first Disney cruise is on the Wonder this July. We have sailed Celebrity & Carnival before & never had a problem securing a table for 2.
We will be eating at the late/second seating on the Wonder.
Do you think it will be difficult getting our own table?

It would be wise to call DCL and add the request to your reservation. You won't know for sure until you board - go to the place the "All Aboard" Navigator says to change your dining seating requests.

DCL doesn't have tables for two. If you eat in Palo, the alternate restaurant, you will be seated by yourselves.

I don't think DCL has tables for two. You should call ahead and check or like said above go the location for dining issues.

It is absolutely difficult to get a table for two on the Wonder. This cruise sails full basically always, meaning that the tables for four don't offer an option of being for two. Ask your TA to request it, but don't count on it. We asked for a two and found we were assigned to an eight. We told the person handling the dining reassignments (in Wavebands around 1ish on embarkation day) that we NEEDED a two. He made that happen by checking Palo reservations each day and juggling us to a different table every night. We have not had the same servers yet, but not having my ice tea on the table when I walk in is a small price to pay for that alone time. Also, even though the servers we have had have known they probably wouldn't see us again (we are still trying to sort out the tipping dilema)the service has been excellent, as if we have had these dining teams every night for seven nights.

The Magic does have tables for two, as my wife and I had one. It worked out great as we weren't in "meet people mode" for this cruise as work had been very hectic, so we just want to relax and veg. We brought some reading material and enjoyed a nice private meal.

May I ask if you had a table for 2 or did you have a table for 4 and you were the only two at the table. I do not remember ever seeing tables for 2 in the dining rooms. Can I ask how you were able to get the table by yourself?

It was a two top. How did we get it? I am not really sure. We just booked the cruise and told them what seating we wanted. When we showed up for dinner we were just sat at the two top. I didn't make any special requests or anything. The only thing that could have influenced it was that the ship probably litely loaded due to the time of the year. I got an email from "my" Disney Cruise TA with some great rates (for Disney) and booked it.
