I have enjoyed reading all the reviews on the Oosterdam. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the weather was like recently sailing from San Diego? I have heard it can be "cold" on the way down and back. We are going in April and can't wait. Thanks.

Passengers disembarking on Saturday reported temperatures in PV and Mazatlan were in the high 80's....Cabo was in the low 80's with clear skies.
It can be a bit chilly on first and last sea days off the coast of Baja.

Thanks. I have heard it is "sweatshirt" weather on the first and last sea days at times! Guess I will just hope that perhaps we will be lucky with warmer weather in April when we go.

Travelers seem to think that the Pacfic Ocean is always warm - not so - we've many times left from San Diego enroute to Hawaii - those first 3 days can be downright cold - and a more than a little choppy! Pack accordingly!
It's glorious to sail from San Diego but you do need a windbreaker and long pants to be comfortable...........:)

It was beautiful in Mexico last week as a previous poster said, it was in the mid 80s. I thought it was also comfortble on the sea days. I am from Oregon and it has been cold so the weather seemed great to me. I never wore a jacket. I was only out on deck a couple of times and only once in the later part of the evening, but was still ok with short sleeved shirt and capri's. It should be even warmer later this month.
