Generally, the DCL cruises are less expensive in the late summer and fall, maybe the last week in August through December, with the exception of holiday weeks; and then again in winter and early spring, from early january through early may, with the exception of spring break and and easter week.

The prices do go up as the cruise fills up, so the best way to get a low price is to book early. You can look at the sailing schedule on Travelocity and get an idea of which sailings will be cheaper. The site lists the prices for the lowest category inside, oceanview, and balcony rooms, and makes it easy to compare the costs for different dates.

Yep, Sept. and Oct are cheaper, kids back in school, hurricane season. Jan and Feb are also cheaper. Any time kids are in school you will have a less expensive cruise. Summers and vacation periods, very expensive.

You might also check out disboards.com. I'm planning a cruise next fall, and they have been very helpful on there. Most of those people cruise disney ALOT! :) I too was told go in september. If you check out allseastravel.com, they have a price list for 2004 and 2005. Its a pretty neat comparison to show you what types of rooms you can get at what prices and when.;)
