Hi,
My parents are currently on a HAL cruise to the Baltics. On Princess I can send emails in c/o the ship. Can you also do this on HAL? I would like to send my Dad a Father's Day Wish while on board.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Monika

You can,if your parents' ship has internet. Then they have to look in their e-mail account on a regular basis to even check for it. Noone tells them any messages are waiting. If all HAL ships do the same, and I believe they do, your parents email address will be as follows, assuming his name is Robert Smith, staying in stateroom 1001, on the Zuiderdam. It would read as follows:
rsmith1001@zuiderdam.cruisemail.net; hope this will help you.

Thank you PoohUnderstands. On Princess, if you send an email via the ship's address they deliver it to your stateroom. I will give it a try.
Thank you so much for your response.

Right in that they will have no way of knowing about it unless they have email account and log on the ships terminal to check their mail.
You can however FAX your wishes with instructions to slide it under their door. HAL Seattle offices should be able to give you their ships FAX number. This will however cost you has much as a statelite phone call which can run over $10 per min.

It might be a very old thread that she/he pulled up. But I myself would like to know the answer.
I wish the orginal poster would have came back and let us know if it had indeed worked.
Any one else done this? Did it work?

You can send e-mail to a pax on that individual's personal (home/work) e-mail account all day long. The person on the ship just has to know about it (that you'll be doing that) and access/open their personal e-mail account on a regular basis. As far as I know, HAL does not offer the ability to send personal e-mail to passengers using a dam ship's internal e-mail system and for staff to then deliver that incoming e-mail to a pax' stateroom.

Ahoy!
You can also have the choice to call him (contact telephone cards will be in your 'dancing' documents) for a mere $16/minute. (Can you hear me now...?)
Hope this helps.
Bon Voyage and Good Health!
Bob:)

Holland America Line has even set up your very own CruisE-mail address for you to use. We also have an Internet Manager on board to assist you. There is a charge for these services.
Your CruisE-mail address:
Your first initial + last name + your four (4) digit cabin number (with no spaces in between) + @"shipname".cruisemail.net. For ships without a 4-digit stateroom number, add an extra zero before your stateroom number (i.e. stateroom 038 would be 0038).
Example:
John Smith, in Cabin 0038 on the ms Rotterdam, - His CruisE-mail address will be: jsmith0038@rotterdam.cruisemail.net
