Looking at the deck plans for the Westerdam, I saw a restaurant called The Oddeysey (sp?). On the board I have heard of an extra fee restaurant, but I thought everyone was calling it The Pinnacle. Which is it on the Westerdam? Is the Oddesey something else? Looking forward to the Westerdam on July 30th!!

It is the same restaurant. There was the "Odessy" before the "Pinnacle" on some ships and Odessy may be in marble on the dining floor. Basically is the same restaurant with the same menu and charge, $20 PP on all the ships.

HAL changed the Marco Polo and Odyssey Restaurants on the older ships to the Pinnacle Grill back in 2002.
It was too late to change the name on the Zuiderdam and Oosterdam floors (engraved in either gold or silver in the marble), but one would have thought that the name "Odyssey" would not have been engraved in the marble on the Westerdam since she made her debut 2 years after the decision was made to change the name and charge a fee.

Both names are used on the Westerdam. Ate there twice in May. Food is very good and the room is beautiful except for the hideous murals all around the room.

We also heard those murals were something right out of Denny's restaurant...
Was the food good?

The murals on the Westerdam Pinnacle dinning room were not that bad or even distracting.
The food was very good, service needs some work. Be sure to have one of the earliest reservations for better service.

Thought the murals quite colorful, and made up for the non-descript white jackets worn by the DR stewards.

I ate for the first time at the Pinnacle on the Rotterdam this past March. The nominal fee of $20 was well worth it, and I was one who wouldn't eat there because of the extra charge. While on the Rotterdam, dad's birthday happened to fall while we cruised. I decided to bite the bullet treat everyone to the Pinnacle on dad's birthday, it was excellent. We enjoyed it so much, we are planning on booking it again on my Zuiderdam and Volendam cruises next March. Excellent, excellent food.

We usually eat 2 or 3 times at the Pinnacle on each cruise.
Love the food - especially the chocolate volcano cake.

I believe the Pinnacle dining is only $10.00 per person on the first night of the cruise. We did it on the Ryndam in August. We had early dining in the dining room and booked a late reservation in the Pinnacle. We went and met our table companions at 5:45 PM and had winel and appetizers with them.
