I seem to recall that at one time you were describing a dream cruise to the South Pacific. This one seems pretty close to your specifications.

Have you seen the 30 Day Hawaii/South Pacific Explorer cruise (Collector's Voyages) on the Statendam Jan. 5,2005? 5 days in Hawaii followed by Christmas Island, Bora Bora, Raiatea, Papeete, Moorea and the Marquesas, round trip San Diego. Oh, my!

Of course, taking time off for a 30 day cruise might not be something your congregation would understand. Still, isn't there a lull in the church calendar just then? Unless Lent is early in 2005.

I hope HAL gets enough pax so that they make this an itinerary that is sailed at least once a year. I've already put this on my list of "must do" cruises, but can't afford it this year or next.

*--Re-living our last cruise makes the wait for the next one bearable--*

Yes, indeed, I've seen this. And I would LOVE to make this cruise. It looks fantastic. Wouldn't it be great if they made this itinerary once a year?? http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I can't go in 05, but I could do it in 06!

Greg, sounds like you need to implement a "Visiting Minister" program. You know, expose your congregation to other teachers to broaden their experience and give you a well-deserved break. As an added plus, they will see that none of them are as good as you are and that will ensure your continued employment ... with a raise and increased vacation benefits at that.

Now, what could be better??? http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I also hope they repeat this cruise. I`ve always wanted to do the South Pacific but with most cruises you have to fly one way. Hubby can`t fly that far so round trip out of San Diego would be perfect. We will just be home from our Holiday cruising so couldn`t make it in 05...jean

Well Rev, maybe you could skip the cruise part and just spend a week in San Diego. LOL No tornadeos, no hurricanes, no floods, at least not compared to Texas style weather. LOL No chiggers either that I know of.

PS, don't ask about the earthquakes!!!
