Anyone ever used them? Were you able to apply the discount to more than one cabin if only one person in the party were the Teacher, firefighter, police office or active military?

never heard of them ---do details please ----do they apply to hal cruises

although i am not a teacher i am part of the SMART reading program and work at a local grade school 2 days a week----------and i am not a sworn police officer but i am an active member of our police departments community policing program and assist and relieve our police officers of some of their more mundane duties so they can give more hours doing the job the are paid for-----------------wonder if these would qualify me to this discount

DW is a teacher, so I'd appreciate more details, especially any links to more info you might have.

I read here on this forum, oh about 2 years ago, about this site for HAL Promos http://crm.hollandamerica.com/broadbaseema/HA3129/index.htm (http://crm.hollandamerica.com/broadbaseema/HA3129/index.htm)

When I received an email newsletter today from an online agency, it mentioned new Customer Appreciation Fares being available.

You can see the flyer with sailings and pricing posted on the site above at:
http://crm.hollandamerica.com/broadbaseema/HA3129/pdf/2006/04-07-06/15379-FX_Comm_App.pdf (http://crm.hollandamerica.com/broadbaseema/HA3129/pdf/2006/04-07-06/15379-FX_Comm_App.pdf)

I phoned American Express Platinum Travel Services and although they were aware of the program they automatically said it did not apply to Holiday sailings. I said, "You wanna make a bet?" Sent the agent the link and all of a sudden he was singing a different tune. Said he still could not answer my question since HAL was closed on Sundays

For the particular cruise we are interested in, the list price of the cabin we want is $100 pp less than the TA we usually use. Granted not a huge amount, but with 4 cabins, if we could get some additional discounts, it would pay for some airfares, soda cards and massages :)
