Just back from the ZUI yesterday. What a great trip ! I was a Celebrity fan but am now also a Dam boat girl.

Back to cooking, making the bed, washing... Boy, I miss Honkey Doorie already!

Hello to my PARTY GIRLS, ELVIS, FRANK, TOM, et al.

I was "Tom Cruise" in the Great Pretenders Show for the March 11 sailing on the Zuiderdam. For the rest of the week people kept coming up and saying, "Hi, Tom!" And my name actually IS Tom.

Hope you had as much fun doing the show as I did! I felt like Ronan and DJ Cuddles almost made me an "honorary member" of the Cruise Staff. They were the greatest!

Tom

I was one of the "Party Girls" on Amsterdam last year...
We convinced "Leslie Gore"'s husband and a couple of other guys to be party girls with us - It was a hoot!!!

It sounds to me as if they've renamed the "Rock'n Rolldies" show. Have they? I haven't noticed it on any cruise since the Zaandam in 2004, though I had heard references made to the "Pretenders." I wasn't paying much attention.

Here's Dad ... about 1999 on the Maasdam ... as Tiny Tim in the old "Rock'n Rolldies" show. I never thought I'd see the day when my straight-laced, no-nonsense, Electrical Engineer, USAF Brigadier General father would do something like this!

Sigh ... that was the last cruise I had with them that I can remember Dad having so much fun. It was right after this that he stared falling very ill. Dad's last cruise was a Canadian cruise (also on the Maasdam) a couple of years ago ... sadly, no longer can he make cruises. Sure ... the Dialysis at Sea program would make it possible for him, but he has far too many other problems and his comfort zone just isn't there any longer.

Lasr year on the Zaandam I also was Tom Cruise:D and I had a blast. As a mater of fact it was Mama Lue (who is a perminet resident on the Zaandam) who talked me into doing it:D great fun lady

Minou, I was on the Zui for the April 1st sailing. The Pretenders show was great fun. The "Tom Cruise" was unbelievable - doing flips and acrobatics across the stage.

Actually all the entertainment was great; I would classify the best entertainment I've seen on any ship.

I totally agree with you. I had so much fun doing Leslie, it brought my youthfull spirit out and the whole gang was just having a ball. The superstar event was also excellent. And what about Joel Mason. Almost as good as the real thing!
