According to a cruise book I have, this ship has self-service laundry facilities available. Then I read somewhere else that the two newest HAL ships (I assume they meant the Vista ships) did not have the laundry facilities.

And the final answer is?

I just got off the Oosterdam yesterday. It does NOT have a self-service laundry but does have a very capable laundry service.

As far as I know, the Vista style ships have no self-service laundries. This was one of my biggest complaints about the new Vista style ships when they do longer voyagers. Its just nice to have the self-service laundries available on those voyages of longer than 7 days, for me anyways.

Thanks for the info! Did they have a special price for a bag of laundry or anything like that?

We sailed on the big O.
If my memory is right it is $12 per bag (not the largest but roll those clothes tight) and I think $56 for the week. S Suites had free laundry and dry cleaning.
That may not be the exact amount but I think its close. Hope this helps.

We also sailed on the Oosterdam in Feb/Mar on back-to-back cruises. Although we were in a suite and the laundry was free for us, there were specials mentioned a couple of times in the daily program - about $12 a bag - so stuff it full and get your monies worth. The service was great - we got everything back the next day.
