Alaska Cruise - June 10

New to this message format, but have read lots of interesting comments from lots of cruisers.
Previously have done one Carribean Cruise on another cruise line, but this is our first Alaskan Cruise. We will be on the Zuiderdam, June 10. Can any previous Alaskan cruisers give us an idea of the weather in June. I understand that as far as clothing is concerned, layering is the best thing to do, I assume for all shore excursions. What about on board - is it generally warm enough to use the pools, since I love to swim and would like to take advantage of the pools. We are also interested in a flightseeing tour . Any suggestions. We want to make the most of our time in Alaska. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Kitty....since you are new to the boards, you may not be aware that there is a board strictly about Alaska. Go back to the main menu and scroll down to the "Ports of Call" section and click on "Alaska." This board is a wealth of information about cruising in Alaska, which includes threads about weather, recommended clothing, shore excursions, shopping, and just about anything else you can imagine. There are not only some experienced Alaska cruisers, but there are also some Alaska natives who can help you out. Go back and read through some of the threads, and I think you'll find the answers to many of your questions.

Hi Kitty, we will be with you on that Alaska cruise on June 10th. You will also find a lot of good info on these boards. This will be our first time in Alaska and on Holland and I know I will be checking the weather up until we leave. Happy cruising.
