I would aimagine that there will be a few nights that we will not go to the DR on our upcoming westerdam cruise.
Do we need to make reservations in advance for this venue, or just show up ? Its a port intensive cruise and I imagine some of the days will be fairly draining. When we did the Med on the Grand Princess we ate twice at the horiaon when we wanted more port time or were just too wiped out for dinner.
I also imagine the first night we will be too zonked- we are flying into London that morning and then have the 3 hour cab ride to Harwich.
Do they do room service for dinner the first night ?
Ideas or suggestions ?

No, no reservations for the Lido. Just be sure to check your daily schedule to see what times the Lido is open for dinner. It could change from day to day.

The only other option to eat is the Pinnacle Grill, which you do need reservations for. There is also a $20 per person charge, but well worth eating there at least once. The food is EXCELLENT. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I know what your talking about, long gruelling days sometimes on a port intensive cruise. We found that on our Baltic's cruise and ended up eating at the Lido sometimes, just too tired to go to the dining room.

Enjoy your cruise.

HAL has room service 24/7. There is a room service menu in your cabin from which you can order. During dinner hours, you may order from the dining room menu for room service.

If you were to opt for Pinnacle on the first night (which I doubt as if you are too tired for the dining room you would not want to go to Pinnacle...it would be a waste), but.......it is half price that night.
