Has anyone gone on Radisson's 'Alaska Popular' ?
Pre /Post Tour - Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage

Are the tours offered by other cruiselines basically the same?
Is there one that stands out above the rest?

This really doesn't exactly address your question, but we are taking a Radisson Alaskan cruise in August and decided to arrange most of our excursions (before, during, and after the cruise) independently. We found the CC Alaskan board to be very useful. We'll be spending several days in the Denali area pre-cruise and several days in Vancouver post-cruise.

Do you have any specific web sites that have helped you in planning the land part of your Alaska trip?

If you go to the Alaska forum in the Ports section of this board you will find all you will ever want to know about planning an Alaska trip. Posts by BudgetQueen are very helpful.

Just to second the notion. The Cruise Critics (CC) Alaska board was very helpful. I have even communicated directly with Budget Queen when I had some specific questions. In fact, she commented on an initial itinerary we had planned, and her suggestions led to an improved schedule.
