We are taking the 7/30 Baltic cruise and, based on our schedule, we wil be arriving in Copenhagen on that day about noon. The ship sails at 11:00 PM. Does anyone know when you are allowed to board? can you leave the ship before it sails once you have gone aboard? If we are allowed to board early, I had wanted to leave and do a quick tour of the city. Has anyone ever done this?

We have boarded as early as 130pm. I hesitate to board any earlier out of respect for the time needed to get the ship ready and to give the crew some time to themselves. I am sure you could easily drop off your bags, check in and go touring. In one sense it is no different than a regular port stop.

We have boarded as early as noon for evening sailings. To avoid interference with the crew, guests so boarding are asked to wait for their suite to be made ready in a designated public area, where refreshments are usually served.
