I thought i heard that Insignia was going for a refurbish in April? Is this so?

Insignia will be "Nautica-ized" over the next few weeks and emerge from drydock on April 21st. Regatta gets dry-docked next spring, but other than the Owner's and Vista Suites, is by and large, already up to the same standard. Nautica's next drydock will be in the fall of 2007 at the end of her European season.
FDR's mandate is that the ships always appear in better than new condition. While the ships are dry-docked for heavy maintenance every two years, the upkeep, infusion of new furnishings and general cosmetic upkeep of the ships is a never ending process, much like that of painting the Golden Gate Bridge.

thanks Jan,,i'm new to all this, but booked on Insignia Oct.20. Have been keeping a log of all useful info, but you seem to know the up to the minute info.

Going on back-to-back cruises on Insignia May 1.
Are they putting lap-tops in the owners and vista suites?

Dell Laptops are being installed at drydock for all Owners and Vista Suites aboard Insignia just like they were installed on Nautica. Regatta will get them after her drydock in April 2007, just in time for the 07 Europe season.

There was one in 7119 on Nautica on our recent cruise, but you still had to pay the internet fees to use it.
I used it to look at the digital pics I had downloaded in the computer room.
