Try sorrentolimo.com. We used them last year
on a shadow cruise. Used them for naples and
sorrento/almalfi. They were outstanding. They
made arrangements with a colleague from Florence. They provided pickup in Livorno, we travel to Pisa, and then Florence tour as well as on our own, then back to ship.
They were good, reliable, mercedes van. However, they were not as good as sorrento
limo. Hope this will help you

We have had a fantastic experience with Marco from Rome cab company. He picked us up from the port on time and delivered us to our hotel and could'nt do enough for us. Have reccommened him to friends who have also had a great experience using him. He does tours all over Italy, his contact is RomeCab@libero.it Hope this is of some help. Although it says cab company he actually uses private cars.

have been able to find sorrentolimo, thank you. For information on Rome Cab: their quote was astronomical at $1,070.00 for transfer 4 people to florence, to montevarchi for 1 person, back to florence, then back to ship.
What are they thinking?

the rome cab is a pick up from Livorno, not new york!.

I believe we paid about $600 plus or minus 50 for the 5 of us.
Pickup at the dock at Livorno, stop at Pisa,
the day at Florence and driving around Florence, and return to ship.
The SS excursion for Floremce was about 200/person. So we came out ahead

Just a month ago, the two of us took a taxi (a six seat van) from Livorno to Florence to Pissa and back to the Oceania Regatta, for a total of seven and a quarter hours, and it was 220 euros total. The driver was very nice and we gave him a 20 euros tip.

On another day, we again took a taxi (six seat vans seemed to be the norm here), from Civitavecchia to Rome and back to the Regatta for a total of seven and a half hours, and it was 250 euros total.

We did not pre-book, we just took the taxi which came to the side of our ship. The drivers normally would want 300 euros for four or more people for "the whole day", but would be willing to take less for two people. Don't be shy to bargain a little. On a bus tour, they control the agenda while with a taxi, you get to choose what you want to do, with freedom, privacy and convenience! Thank you.

We engaged a ship side taxi/driver for 200 euros earlier this month. We went to Pisa, Lucca, Collodi, and other remote Tuscan sites. It was great to have a translator in addition to a driver. Plus, he went wherever we wanted to go. I think we were gone about 7 hours.
