We're really looking forward to travelling on Holland American again (will be our 4th time).....we've enjoyed a number of cruises on other lines (Renaissance, RCCL & Oceania) since the last HAL cruise 10 years ago, but we have very fond memories and are hoping we'll be as pleased this time too. We booked a guaranteed outside...and received our doc's a couple of days ago. We thought we'd see our long awaited cabin #, but it wasn't there....and isn't on their website either. I've just noticed that a few folks on the same cruise (May 20th Oosterdam to Alaska) have received their cabin assignments.......I'm hoping this still puts us in contention for an upgrade, however the online TA from which we purchased the cruise shows the cruise as being 'sold out' - so not much room for 'moving up' I think this means. But as everyone has suggested...we did book a category we'd be happy with, without an upgrade, but a nice surprise would be great! Looks like we may just have to wait til check-in time in Seattle to find out where we'll be putting our heads down for the 7 nights on the voyage to Alaska! BTW, our last HAL trip was on the old "Noordam"...we had a wonderful time, but it was getting a little weary even then......so we're very happy to be trying out the Oosterdam which sounds beautiful!

We will be with you on your trip-May 20- only 28 more days. We have a guar. also and no room number yet. I keep checking on the immigration form on HAL website and it hasn't come up. We are looking forward to our cruise.

We're on the same sailing...we also received our documents and no cabin assignement for us either...nothing on the website either. We're booked for an SZ GTY. I know we'll be happy no matter where we are.

See you there!

I'm booked in a SZ guarantee on the 5/13 Oosterdam. Got my docs with no room assignment. Put all my data in the immigration form and went to print my express boarding pass and there was the cabin no. A nice SS cabin near the center elevators. Keep checking your boarding pass, my room number just came up last Thursday. These is hope. On one HAL cruise I didn't get it till 3 days before the cruise.

We are also on this cruise. No documents yet, but we know our cabin because we reserved a particular one. My dad will be in a wheelchair anytime we have very far to go, so I wanted to be pretty close to elevators. Also, since it is my FIRST cruise :D and I am prone to motion sickness  , I wanted to be sure I would be in the center of the ship to minimize problems.

Can't wait! See you all there!
