What 60%? Is that a typo error? I checked the Silversea website and it showed 50%. The steepest discount Silversea ever advertised was 55% a year ago (one sailing), and since then 50% seemed to be the maximum, am I right? Thank you.

Meow - Many sailings also have additional savings via Venetian Society Savings or Friends of the Society. For this sailing we have 60% off. You have to have sailed Silversea or sail with a past Silversea guest. We also have a group so that offers additional perks.

We just booked this cruise as well and thought the price our cruise specialist quoted was excellent. This will be our first Silversea cruise; looking forward to it. We had a wonderful week in Tahiti on the WindStar in April; seveal years ago were on the Wind Spirit from Istanbul to Athens. We really like the elegant casual atmostphere of the Windstar ships but had heard so much about Silversea and Seabourn that we were ready for a change. The itinerary sounds fascinating, too.

We're sort of neighbors--we're from La Jolla.

MBellamy - You will love Silversea, it is a wonderful line. We have also sailed the on the Wind Spirit (Athens - Istanbul, loved the outside dinner in Bodrum). In Tahiti we have sailed the Paul Gauguin a couple of times and loved the experience. Silversea and Seabourn provide larger cabins (all suites) in a formal (but not stuffy), all-inclusive environment. You will love the experience!
