I have been trying for over a week to input immigration information for our upcoming trip to Alaska. Still get the message that it isn't available and if it persists to contact Technical support. Yeah, ummm, and when you try you don't get a reply. Could IT be the weakest link in HAL. Not got for all of us used to using our computer. Anyone else experiencing problems.

I used it 2 days ago and it worked fine. I was able to input both my wife's and my immigration form. I also just went into it and did an edit of the form and it worked fine. I dont know what to tell you other than it may have to do with how your operating system is setup. Maybe you have a firewall or some other type of security software which is preventing you using the immigration function.

I just came from the HAL web site and checked the Immigration Form. Although I did not fill it out because I do not have my return information yet, I had no problems with getting to the form. In fact, I was surprised by the amount of personal information ( address, telephone number, etc, ) that had already been pre-entered on my form.

If I were you, I would try it again and if you still are having problems, I would call either my TA or HAL. On the web site, HAL says to call 1-877-932-4259 if you are having trouble with the form.

I just checked the form and it came up fine, You might try again on a different computer, sometimes your settings or internet security cause some trouble. Give it a try.

I have noticed that once or twice a week the form will not work. However, if you try at different times during the day it will come up. I would just keep trying and I bet that it works eventually.

Granted, the first time that I could not get into the form made me think that maybe HAL was updating the cabin assignments for my sailing (I have a guarantee)....But when it came up again I still was listed as "GUAR".

Shucks!!!!!

I have had trouble for the past two days. We have already filled out our forms and printed them but we have a guar. cabin and I have been trying to check to see if they have assigned a cabin. Today I was able to access it but still no assignment.

I can verify that this is not just a problem with one's computer. Interestingly enough, out of the 6 of us going on one cruise, 4 people's immigration forms work, while the other 2's don't. After contacting technical support, we were told that we'd just have to live without the express boarding pass for those 2 people. We have tried filling them out on multiple computers at various times, and they have never worked. So, according to HAL, this is a problem on their end, not ours.

I had trouble doing the data entry on the immigration form -- because we live in Canada but I am an American citizen. It kept giving strange error messages.

I called HAL and the lady there was able to override the fields that were not working on her screen to get the data entered. She happened to be a Canadian herself (working for HAL) so she was most helpful and eager to help. However, during a subsequent call, I got an American agent with HAL and he was at a loss for what to do.

It seems to be there are some definite problems with the HAL immigration on-line entry via the web (I'm being kind), since I speak as someone who was an IT professional for a long time before retiring and one of my pet pieves is computer systems put in place that are "not ready for prime time".

HAL needs to do more system testing before they implement these systems.

I can now usually bring the forms up (but I have learned that if I press the submit button too quickly it will not work -- I sit and wait a minute before submitting and I get the forms just fine)

The issue that I ran into was in filling out the disembarkation information. My DH and I have different numbers of days on HAL, but they only seem to take whatever the information is on his form and apply it to me also. I am puzzled. What if he and I were flying to different places at different times after the cruise, would their system be able to handle that one?

I did our immigration forms last Friday for our June cruises and didn't have any problems.

I received a message from HAL that they apologized for the inconvenience as they were doing updates. I was happy. Ummm, that was until I tried to send it again. No problem opening the form just when you want to submit it says its not available. We have express check-in for the 2 experienced cruisers and for our daughter and grandson no such luck. I can't believe it. I will keep trying again, and again but my question is why don't they fix it properly in the first place.

Just did ours for a 31 JUL departure and had no problemas:) . What I did notice was that they have changed the form set-up since February. Besides the pax name, signature, stateroom and booking number, the entire first page is nothing but instructions for appropriate forms of ID and required documents. In our case, pages one and two are now called "Express Boarding Pass". Flight (disembarkation day) and Mariner info are no longer visible on the print-out even though you still have to input the data when you fill out the form on line.

How odd. I did mine today for a cruise on Tuesday and it worked just fine. I wonder if it's some sort of browser/router/IP/firewall thing?

OK. Here goes another question that will seem crazy, but I have to ask.............
We are booked on the June 4 Westerdam. We still have not received our documents yet. I don't know about this immigration form. Sorry. What do I need to do? Do I do it now? Does it come with my documents that I haven't received yet?
We have only been on one other cruise, Disney, so this is my first HAL cruise. Please tell me what I need to do.
Thank you.

It is not unusual to receive your cruise docs up to two weeks before departure. I'd give it another week and a half or so. You can also call your TA and see if he/she can get an updated ETA. You have two options for the Immigration form: You will receive hard copies for you to fill out by hand with your cruise docs. Or, you can go on line on HAL's website, http://www.hollandamerica.com/ go to the "for booked guests" section on the top and then to the "Immigration form". You will need your booking number in order to fill out the form on line. Good luck and have a great cruise next month!
