I am thinking of bringing our toiletry bag on our flight as a carryon- that way if our luggage were to get lost, we'd at least have our medicines and other toiletries that we need. However, I also want to bring it as a carryon so that our cologne and perfume bottles aren't broken with all the baggage handling. Does anyone know if we are allowed to bring glass bottles in our carryons? They are pretty small bottles, but I wanted to make sure instead of risking getting them confiscated. I can't find anything about this on the TSA website- they do mention beverages in glass bottles, but I wasn't sure if the rules were the same for non-beverages. Thanks for any help.

Why take the chance ? Go to the drug store and buy some plastic bottles and put your perfume and cologne in them. To be sure they don't leak on something, put the plasitic bottle in zip lock bags.

I'm afraid it doesn't work that way- you can't open the glass bottles in order to pour it into a plastic bottle, or I would have done that.

We've always had our perfume/cologne bottles in our carryon and never had a problem with either TSA or breakage. You'll be fine taking them with you.

The TSA have no problems with small glass items in carry ons, I have bought perfumes at the duty free and they were delivered to me on board. If TSA didn`t allow it, the duty free shops would have to close down........jean:cool:

I always keep my perfumes in their glass bottles and have never had a problem with them in my carry-on.
