When will Princess post their 2005 European itineraries on their web site?

They should post them very soon. Here is what I know so far from my TA.
Star Princess will be doing 10 day cruises in the Baltics like the Grand this year.
Golden Princess will be doing 10 day cruises London - London (British Isles) all summer.
Grand Princess will do what Star Princess does this year, a couple of Grand Meds with some Greek Isles.

Based on Princess'past track record, they should be available mid-May or so.

I am another who likes to book a year or so out.
I presume Royal Princess will also be back in Europe in 2005.

The expansion with a summer full of British Isles cruises is quite interesting. By both increasing the number of trips and the number of berths available, this trip should be much more affordable than in the past with Princess.

Last year they were out by now. I went on the Grand Princess April 4th last year and booked the Grand for this summer (Baltics) while on the ship. The friends I were cruising with on the Grand had booked Europe the week before we left which would have been the end of March.

So, hopefully any day now.

Marie,

Thanks for the Royal schedules! I ahve been trying to get those for about 2 weeks now...The Royal is our favorite ship also and we plan on doing doing back-to-back cruises next year. I am glad the cruises are now 14 days instead of 12!

We also booked our Greek Isles 2005 cruise on the Grand. Starts on 9/11/05 in Venice and ends 9/23/05 in Rome. Don't know when the brochures will be out but the Med 2005 cruises through September are in the Princess computer system and some of the TA's have the schedule.

OK - I must really be stupid - how do you find the 2005 itineraries in the Princess system? I understand the Med/Europe are already posted but I can't get to them on the "Planning" site - please help with detailed instructions. Thanks

GottoCruise... actually, there is no way as yet, to see the 2005 itineraries in print... in a brochure or on a website. In our case, we knew we wanted to do the Greek Isles with Princess next September (we thought it would be on the Star, it turned out to be the Grand). We asked our TA to let us know when she knew. She did. We booked. Currently, Princess shows cruises through March or April 2005. I'm guessing they should update that in the near future.

We are also trying to book a Med Cruise for the Summer of 2005.

It appears that some of you have already been able to book your Med 2005 cruises even though the new schedules are not in print. Do any of you know if ALL the schedules are available to be booked or just a select few?

Thanks!

I was able to view the Grand, Golden and one other ship (can't remember which one) when visiting Travelocity's site the other day. The prices were there too but didn't try to book anything through them. Haven't looked since then but I would assume they are still there. Faye.

Now that the Royal is going to P & O, the summer 2005 European cruises will be changing ships...I wonder if it will be the Sea or??

Good question JoyceC!

I am now wondering if this is why the 2005 Med itineraries are a little later than usual? http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Can anyone look into the crystal ball and get any news about repositioning cruises 11 days and longer from September 2005 onwards?

Well, yesterday's announcement re Royal Princess leaving the fleet certainly changes the Europe 2005 equation.

Guess I'll just have to wait another month or so for the brochures, and then hope there are no further changes.

Dortmunder,

Where did you find the info on the transatlantic cruises for 2005? I looked on Travelocity and can only find the Med cruises.

Thanks,
Susan

I just read that Regal Princess is replacing the Royal on the Exotic itineries...don't know if that includes the Norwegian Fjords for us. At least I have dates for the cruises we are interested in for summer 2005.

Tom

I noticed that the itinerary for this sailing shows Day 1 in Venice, then departing Venice at 1 p.m. on day 2......does this mean that we could possibly fly in on June 7th [Day 1], board and spend night on ship rather than going in a day early and spending night in hotel? Did you book through cruise line or TA?

The Sea Princess is doing a 14 day transatlantic, too in Sept. 2005. I'm going to book it! I cancelled the Grand for this year, I've been wanting to do this one for a long time so next year I'm doing it! Southampton to N.Y. and Ireland, Iceland, Greenland,
St. John's in between!

Happycruizer:

This year's transatlantic sailing of the Star Princess from Venice to FLL has a similar arrangment. I fly in on October 7, board the ship and stay overnight in Venice and we depart on 10/8 for the cruise at 2pm. I'm even using Princess Air this time because it was so much cheaper... although the flights do suck a bit : )

Solocruizer: Thanks for helping me understand this. At least we may be able to save $$$ by not having to have a hotel in Venice. Now if I can only get decent flight times.

Hi All,
The Princess 2005 European Itineraries are no secret. The Captain's Circle brochure arrived at my home in VA last week and has a complete rundown for the entire season. I'm sure you CC Members will be receiving it soon if you haven't already gotten it. We are going to book the Greek Isles in September or October of 2005, probably in a Venice to Rome direction so we can add a few days in Rome.

Hi Gottocruise!
Looks like we may be doing the same cruise again. Maybe we can exchange guides again.

Take care,
Bop

I am sure you can fly in on the 7th, I know of a few people doing that.If you fly in on the 7th you will leave the states on the 6th and arrive in Venice around 11am depending on your flights.I hope this helps..We booked through Delta and got Business class seats for $2000.00 a ticket and caoch was selling for around $1200.00
I hope this helps you out.
