Hi experienced HAL cruisers,
My first trip onboard a HAL cruise will be in Dec, on the Oosterdam. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on the prices of spa services, like facials, haircuts etc onboard the Oosterdam? I can't find the prices on the HAL website. Thanks in advance!

Rachel,
Last year, Ship Services emailled me a pdf file with the spa menu/prices. I don't know if they would still be valid. If no one else can help you, maybe you could request that SS send them to you via email. I wish I knew how to post the file for you. I have a lot of trouble with pdf files for some reason. Sorry, but I can only give you an idea here:
Haircut prices start at $ 52 (for Men - $23)
Facials start at $ 89
It's less expensive if you take advantage of in-port specials. I find the prices for body treatments and massages in line with a land-based spa.

Cool! How do I get the email address of Ship Services? I only have their contact number.
Glad to hear that their prices are not rocket high....... With an infant, I just never quite found the time to go to a spa or even get my hair done in months!

HAL_Ship_Services@HollandAmerica.com - that is a copy and paste straight from their email to me. Hope it comes out all right on here...
Happy to help. I love spas, but ours are all such a drive from where we live that I only like to go when DH can drive me. Why go get all relaxed only to battle traffic back home? ;)

We just got back from the Oosterdam and I can tell you a little about the prices. The first day, I broke a nail and had it fixed and the other nails polished. $44. I don't know about the prices where you live but here in little ole Arkansas, that is a tremedous price. I get a manicure for $16 here and if they fix a nail, its $3 more. I also tried the detox. It was $145. I don't have anything to compare that too as we don't have anyone here that does that, but for what I got, I thought it was a rip. There were some specials on port days, but I didn't use anything else. On our last cruise on the Volendam, I got my hair trimmed and they charged me $80. Hope that helps
