Westerdam and ice cream and drinks . . .

Going on the Westerdam 10/29/06, first time on Holland America, and have a couple questions. First, is there soft serve ice cream in any of the buffets or pool area on this ship or any other place, that is free?

What are the drinks available at the buffets besides ice water? Do they serve fruit punch, lemonade or iced tea for free? Also, what juices are available for breakfast?

I lived in Ohio for 16 years ...

Westerdam is a wonderful ship -- we sailed on her last November.
There is soft-serve [as well as hard ice cream] in the Lido. [Which is where you are referring to when you say "buffet."] Also cones and toppings if you are so inclined!

I only drink water, so I can't help you out as far as other drinks in the Lido.
At breakfast time I know there is fresh-squeezed orange juice.

When we sailed on the Westerdam in December, they had water, tea, iced tea,coffee and a variety of fruit juices available in the Lido. The juices weren't always the same. Sometimes there would be one kind, sometimes 3. The ice cream is great, they vary the flavors all the time so be prepared to be flexible. They also had about 3 or 4 types of liquor, like ameretto or bailey's, you could put on your ice cream YUM!!!!!
