my wife and I are deciding which cruise to take, late July to Southern Caribbean. We are late 40's and are taking our daughter and her friend who are 19 years old. Like to know any feelings one way or the other. AOS vs. Golden Princess.

I'm reluctant to say it, but I think the 19's just might have the slighest bit better time on AOS, but I'm sure you and your DW would have a super time on the Golden. We just got back from a cruise on the Grand. In comparing it with a cruise on the Royal Caribbean ship, Grandeur of the Seas in 2000, the food was better on the Grand, especially liked the Horizon Court over the Windjammer buffet on the Grandeur.

I know I'd probably choose the Golden Princess even though I know the itinerary of the AOS has the better diving.

So when is the next cruise?

I've been on Navigator and the dawn. I like Princess service better and the food but for the 19 year olds, I agree with the above poster, they will like the VOS better if they are into Gold, Mountain climb and partying, skating etc. For myself, I would go on the Grand.

Hopfully a Hawiian Cruise

I believe you will be happy with either ship.

We have not sailed Princess yet (next month). But the ships look to be about even to me.

We sailed the Adventure twice and the sister ship the Voyager once. We liked the Adventure better.

I took hundreds of pictures on the Adventure...I will try to post the link...

If the 19 year olds like to 'night club' and go dancing then go on the AOS as their drinking age and gambling age is 18. Princess strictly enforces the age of 21. They would not even be able to get in....
