How do you go about asking HAL to host a gathering of ccer's. We will be on the Prinsendam Transatlantic on May 21st.
thanks for any info.

Hi puddles'n splashes: There are several ways to deal with this. Perhaps the easiest is to call guest services and advise them of the number of people who would be attending and the type of refreshments you would like. Depending on the HotMan or CD for the particular cruise you are on one of them will usually show up and do a little Q & A type thing.

I have also arranged somthing by speaking directly with the CD immediately after boarding and then he set something up and put it in the daily program.

If you booked directly with HAL your cruise consultant will help in any way possible. I don't use a regular TA so I don't know if they are able to arrange something or not.

Hope this helps a little...

Bon Voyage

Thank you for the info Kakalina. Since I have no idea @ the numbers as most respondents are on the roll call, I'll have to take a survey. What type of refreshments are usually served? Coffee and goodies, wine and cheese?

Most of the CC parties we've attended had nice appetizers and free champagne or wine. On two occasions there was an open bar but usually just the wines.
Good luck organizing everthing

We held a CC get-together on the Zuiderdam in March. The food and beverages were arranged through ship's services. Just so you know, coffee, tea, cookies are complimentary. We had to pay for hot appetizers and alcoholic punch (US$7.50 per person). We had prepared invitations ahead of time and invited the Hotel Manager, Cruise Director and Beverage Manager. We used starboard side of the Crow's Nest and the ship provided stanchions and signage. There were approximately 35 persons in attendance and we had a wonderful time. Good luck with your planning.
