I need some clarification from all of you frequent DCL cruisers. I am reading bits and pieces of postings referring to staggered start times for dinner. We are scheduled for the early dining on our upcoming DCL cruise. Does everyone start at the same time or are their different times based on the dining room you are eating in?

Hi Dandy,
it would take forever to write this all out so I will type and example and maybe this will help. These times are not accurate, just an example!!!
Animators Palate 5:15 P.M.
Tritons 5:45 P.M.
Parrot Cay 6:00 P.M.
Animators Palate 7:15 P.M.
Tritons 7:45 P.M.
Parrot Cay 8:15 P.M.
This way the 5:15 people will be cleared out for the 7:15 people who will be in that restaurant next. Hope this makes sense to you,

Hi Kathy,
Thanks for the example. I want to make sure I have this straight (sorry if I seem a little slow:o ) Using your times, your dining time depends on the dining room you are in. For instance, say we start at Animator's Pallet on the 1st night, dinner would be at 5:15. For the following night, say Triton's is where we are to dine, would our time change to 5:45?

Hi danielle,
Sorry I should of made a little more detail and written my example for 3 days at least for you to see. If your dining time is 5:15, it will always be at 5:15 for the entire trip!!
The restaruants change their times each day, so no matter which restaurant you are at, it will always be at the same time, 5:15.
Hope that clears it up for you.
When you arrive in your room there will be dining tickets on your vanity which will state the time, the restaurant rotation and your table number. Your KTTWK will have your dining roatation on it too when you check in.
Take that with you the first night to dinner ,as they will want to see it to seat you properly.

I can verify that your dining time will not change, only your dining location. I was told as a general rule of thumb, families with very young children begin in Animator's Palate (5:30 early and 8:00 late), families with young children begin in Parrot Cay (5:45 early and 8:15 late), and families dining with older or no children begin in Lumiere's/Triton's (6:00 early and 8:30 late). We have a teen and a 'tween, and our first restaurant was Lumiere's. Hope this is helpful!
