When you go to the discussion about puchasing jewelry the C.C.L. gives before a destinations, read and look for any hint how to have the purchased items, repaired, replaced and or refunded, and save that list, for it is your clue how to have a third party negotiate, your problem.
I believe the proper name is P.P.I. the third party, I found this out the hard way... I purchased jewelry from a dealer that was on C.C.L. list, what a nightmare, after 3 replacements that needed immediate attention, it was time for a refund.
Since communication from retailer became non existant, I tried C.C.L. and found out the right way was to save the authorized retailers list, and follow the correct procedure? Don't get the the retailor involved, use P.P.I. Duh, sounds to me C.C.L. recommends certain retailers, but don't help with any problem.
P.S. The above mentioned item was taken to a nationally known appraisor, I was told that the item was not worth what I paid for it!
