May Guarantee Cabin Alaska Cruisers - When Did You Get Your Cabin Assignment?

I realize that patience is a virtue....Guess I am not that virtuous. :-)

I am sailing on the Oosterdam, June 3rd. Am anxious to find out which room I will be put in. Are there any cruisers that are on the May sailings that have gotten their guarantees switched to actual rooms? And if so, how long before the cruise date did it change on the HAL web site?

I am sailing June 11 and I am still sharing cabin 000 with a whole bunch of other people. In the past my HAL guarantees have cleared anywhere from 2 weeks to less than a week before sail date -- so hang in there it is not too much longer.

My documents still show no room #, I got them about 4 weeks ago. But my online immigration form has had a room # since the 2nd of April. We booked an NN guarantee and our room shows a C. :D

i have been told to expect my room assignment at the dock so dont be surprised if the same happens to you

We have 5/14 on the Westerdam and didn't get a room assignment until yesterday-5/10. I actually called and was persistent with questions and they made a room assignment/upgrade while I was on the telephone. I checked my Immigration forms and it did show up. Good Luck!

Two years ago we e-mailed Hal and asked for our room # and they e-mailed us back the number. You might try that.

We are leaving on May 20 and our room number came up yesterday. But the good news was we were upgraded two cat. First time it has happened to us.

We have gotten our "guarantee" cabin assignment as late as a few days before the cruise. Several times we were upgraded from the initial assignment as late as 24 hours before the cruise. One never knows!

I talked to HAL 3 days ago and hadn't been assigned, but just checked my immigration form and found a cabin number listed...Crossing my fingers that it DOES mean I've been assigned

Last time I did a guarantee I received a phone call on Friday (ship leaving Sunday) seems the ship had been over sold. I ended up on a 10 day sailing leaving the same day (original was 7 day) and a mini suite. Now that was some upgrade ferry!
