Let me see if I understand you right Joe....

You booked a cruise and did not purchase air at the same time. The company you bought your cruise from said that you would pick up your cruise documents at the port?

If you booked a cruise that's coming up real quick, like next week for example, yes, you could possibly have to pick up your documents at the pier. There's just not enough time to process everything through the mail.

Is that what you're getting at?

Happy Cruising

Hi~ Not entirely sure I understand your situation but if you have a confirmation number to use to go to the Princes Personalizer to book excursions, see your dining preference, stateroom number, etc., you are fine. On our recent Coral cruise we didn't have documents either and simply checked in at the pier. We had paperwork for both the cruise and insurance that we received online and printed out.....just no official "tickets". In the age of e-tickets it doesn't seem so out of the norm. Hope this helps put your mind at ease. Nan

This is a new one to me (we have only been on 35+ cruises)! If you book more than 3 weeks prior to a cruise, the documents should be mailed to your address (some TAs use Fedex) in plenty of time (usually 10 days to 3 weeks prior to the cruise). If you do book at the last minute, and the cruise line is unable to process the documents in a timely manner, they will arrange pick-up at the port. Personally, I would not go to port for a pick-up without a confirming e-mail. I agree with the other comment that you should check your reservation on the Princess cruise personalizer (you will need your booking number which you can get from your TA). If your cruise is more than a few weeks away, I think you might want to also call Princess directly, and make sure all is OK. You might want to also relay to Princess what you were told by your TA (very strange).

I also just booked on-line with this company after seeing them advertised on Cruise Critic.
I would be interested in any information you found out about this.
Not only does it state documents for cruise only fares will be available at the pier, I did not get a confirmation from them, only the document I printed before leaving their site. In addition, I've tried to call them 3 or 4 times, and can't get through. I'm currently on hold right now, it's been 26 minutes.
I tried sending an email to get some kind of confirmation from them since they've already charged the deposit to my credit card, and have gotten no response. I'm about ready to stop payment, and go elsewhere.
Anyone else have any info regarding this company? Good or bad?
Thanks
Annie

Bump. Sounds like something some of you more experienced folks need to address for these people. Donia

Actually, picking up the documents at the pier, though not the norm, does not sound unreasonable to me. In fact I wonder when this practice will become the norm. It will save a lot of money for the cruise line in paper, printing and postage!!

Annie, you definitely should be given the Cruise Line's confirmation number. If they won't give it to you cancel and book elsewhere!! The confirmation number should be a series of capital letters similar to GIBHYL. Once you have this info you should be able to access the Princess Cruise Personalizer. You should also receive/demand a fax or e-mail that details all the information on your booking...booking number, date of sailing, ship, cabin number, and a summary of your payments. If you can't get that information in writing book elsewhere!!
