what is your favorite Holland ship?

I have cruised a lot, but have never been on one of Holland America's ships. I really don't care where it goes, but don't want to be gone for more than a week. Which ship is your favorite and why. Pretend that it is a cruise to nowhere and base it soley on the ship itself.

I love them all! Each has its own unique charm.

The Volendam is my favorite ship. I love the R-class vessels, and hence I also love the Zaandam, but the Volendam is my preferred ship.

Right behind the Volendam would be the Statendam, which is a wonderful ship vessels, as are all the S-class ships.

Among the Vistas I love the Noordam and the Oosterdam. However, the Vistas are large and I prefer the smaller S and R class ships.

Volendam -- absolutely; Rotterdam -- a close second. Will be doing our first sailing on the Prinsendam come December and, from what I've read here on the boards, we're in for a neat treat. The Oosterdam was very nice; the Zuiderdam o.k. But we, also, prefer HAL's smaller ships.
