Does anyone know is the 07 prices have come out yet, as I do not see them on their site?

I have contacted HAL both here in England and also in the US but they won't commit themselves to a date yet. My local travel agent seems to think it might be 1st June, but I haven't seen any evidence to back that up. I'm waiting to book for Alaska 2007 and know exactly what we would like to do, so hope they announce as soon as possible!

I contacted HAL about 2 months ago for dates and prices. Each time I was given a different date for the release of times and prices. I only have one cruise on HAL and would have liked to cruise with them again. But I couldn't wait any longer, so I booked on Regent. HAL needs to fix this or they will loose more customers because of the delays.

We knew what we wanted and we had an awful time with HAL last year. We knew that we were going to away the month of May so we left instructions with our TA as to witch ship, cabin number, dates, etc., that we wantd. When we got back she was still having a hard time getting HAL to open up the suites - this was in June. Finally about the middle of June HAL opened up the suites and she was able to make the deposit for what we wanted.

They kept giving her excuses that they had to wait to see how many people wanted to book land tours and cruises together before they opened up anything. As if everyone on a land tour is going to book a suite.

When I called HAL recently, I was told mid-May. I already booked Alaska 2007 on RCI, but might switch to Princess when the CC group cruise prices come out. However, I like the southbound itinerary on Volendam, so want to see those prices before making any further changes.

My travel agent had original indicated pricing would be made available in the first week of May, but subsequent contact with HAL indicated first week in June pricing would be made available. She suspected this was because of the fluctuating cost of oil...

While I'm all for HAL being cautious to make sure they price things appropriately, I'm probably going to be making plans shortly with or without HAL... Come on HAL, I want to try you!

I must say, HAL is sometimes VERY slow about publishing their itineraries for certain areas in subsequent years. It's annoying, to say the least, when one wants to book FAR in advance. Thankfully, sometimes HAL comes though with itineraries and prices FAR in advance of a year. But, it seems to me, Alaska is particularly slow for them to publish. That was true in 2005, then in 2006, and now in 2007. :( Sad. If I know FAR in advance, I can sometimes block off a week or two and do a cruise. But I need quite a few months to manage that in the Summer, given how busy my summer schedule usually ends up being.

They must be out today, because 5 ships that sail roundtrip are showing up on Travelocity now.

NancyIL, if you try to book anyone of the shown cruises for 2007 you get an error message. Also it seems that the prices that are listed are very high compared to other lines and even with the prices for what is left for HAL this year. I sure hope that they will come out soon. People have told me that HAL is the best for Alaska and I want to book as a surprise for my parents. Beginning to wonder if they are the best since they can't even get prices out. They have already listed itineraries for 2007, how hard can it be to book for 2007?

HAL's prices on Travelocity for roundtrips seem consistent with other roundtrips on RCI and Celebrity. I got prices for several ships, but didn't go through with the booking process.

The prices you are seeing for HAL for this summer might be distress prices, because I've gotten a number of e-mails from HAL about Alaska 2006 cruises.

Princess is also considered to be excellent in Alaska.

**Just checked Travelocity again, and now I can't proceed with booking. It worked this a.m.
