Mexican Riviera Best Beaches to snorkle from

The DW and I are cruising in March of 2007. We would prefure to snorkle from the beach rather then a boat. any ideas?

Nearly all snorkling is done from boats in Banderas Bay. There are a few locations where people do snorkle from the beach but the typical cruise ship traveler can't get to them in the short time frame they are in the port. Vallarta Adventures has a tour that goes to the south side of the bay (Las Caletas) and people do snorkle from the beach; however, the sub-surface structures don't hold the same variety & abundance of sea life that you would get from a boat.

If you want to snorkel from the beach in the Mexican Riviera, Cabo San Lucas is the place to go. There's virtually none from most of the other stops, but there are a couple of good spots in Cabo.

lovers beach...
which you can get to by water taxi only, its very nice.. but there are no bathrooms, or food places or anything like that..
and when we were there the water was really rough , it was in october.
there were some people selling beer for 1$ , but that was about it,
but i was nice snorkeling. not like the caribbean, but it was ok. al ot of the silver fish..

Playa Santa Maria is about 12 km outside of town. I have been there twice and the snorkeling is the best in Cabo. Bring everything, as there are no amenities at all, which is a good thing. Try to get there early because tour boats do come. Google it for more information.
