Amsterdam/Dolphin Deck

Has anyone stayed on the Dolphin Deck on the Amsterdam? Just wondering if there is a lot of noise from the engines etc.? We were thinking of getting an inside cabin. Also how did you like the ship? Any information would be appreciated..Thank you

I have had an outside cabin on Dolphin Deck aboard the Amsterdam three times now and don't recall ever hearing any noise from the engines. Occasionally the stern thrusters are used and they can be noisy but the racket usually doesn't last long and is really not that intrusive. If you book an inside cabin it seems to me that you would hear them even less.

I love the Amsterdam, in fact she and the Ryndam are my two favorite ships in the fleet. If you do decide to take a cruise on the Amsterdam I'm sure that you will have a wonderful time on a beautiful ship.

Friends of mind were on the Dolphin Deck, mid-ship, on the Volendam. They loved that deck, nice and quiet they said. I would imagine its the same on the Amsterdam.
