Here's a good one for you Floridians. We'll be sailing on the 7/31 CP returning on 8/7. There is a 6:00 game at Tropicana Field against our Seattle Mariners. We have Saturday night (8/7) booked at the Marroitt Marina. I'd like to debark (I like that better than disembark), drop off my luggage, catch a ride to Tampa (don't really want to drive), catch the game and get a ride back to the hotel in FL, catch a few zzz's and be at the Miami airport at 6:00 am for our flight home. I was hopeing someone knew of a sports bar or something in FL or Miami that had buses to Tropicana Field. Your ideas please. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

What you're suggesting sounds almost impossible. What I suggest is you rebook your return flight to depart from Tampa and of course stay at a hotel in that area. Your airline will probably charge you $100 to reticket, but your blood pressure and heart will be the better for it.
As for transportation to Tampa, call Princess. They may very well have a shuttle from FLL. I know there's a bus company that shuttles between coasts. Put up another post with that specific question.
Good luck. Hope the Mariners win. I'm a Marlins girl.

Not aware of a bus other than possibly Greyhound between the two unless it is cruise ship specific. Southwest flies between the two cities so you could fly up to get to the game in time, but not sure about getting back. Figure 3 hours for the game, getting back to the airport (about 45-1 hour with traffic) and it being a Sat night, I'm not sure if Southwest has a flight back that late. If you could change to go out of Tampa and then do the one way flight up, it could work and you wouldnt have to hustle back to the South. Its a minimum 4 1/2 hour drive ( with no traffic/problems) from St Pete to Ft Lauderdale.

4 1/2 hours between Ft. Lauderdale and St. Pete? I always make it in about 3 hours 45 minutes...sometimes less.
