Anyone been in a DD or C cabin on the Grand class ships. Cruise I'm considering has all outside cabins at the same price. Thinking of booking a Cat. D because it looks like the cat. DD have the promenade in front of them and cat. C have portholes. Are these two categories really better or just "higher decks up"/

NukeTim,
We are booked in R748 Porthole cabins on Riviera deck on the 9/11 sailing of the Caribbean Princess. This is our 1st time without a balcony in a long while but I'm hoping the ideal location will offset not having our own balcony. I've only heard from one couple who had one of these porthole type cabins and they loved the location so much that they booked it again. I'm told you have the vastness of the aft Riviera deck for an incredible view. You also have the quiet adult only Terrace pool right there and up a few steps is the Horizon Court and Caribe Cafe. There's a bar back there too. If we cruise before you, we'll let you know. In the meantime I'm trying to hear some other opinions. Hope this helps.
