Got my docs today!

Got my docs for my very first cruise today - it's to Alaska on the Zaandam on June 9th.....I am so excited I read everything right away! The friend I am traveling with received a Mariner Pin and has a different luggage tag. What does that mean? If there is a reception can I accompany her? I also purchased my TSA locks and knew more about HAL than the travel agent did thanks to this board! Counting the hours now instead of days.

Hi,
The mariner pins that come with docs are not award pins they're just for travel ID.
If you're in the same cabin there's no reason why you could not go to the award ceremony with your friend. Our adult daughters went with us as they were rooming with us. They don't check invitations at the door for the awards ceremonies.
