THE ONLY WAY I REMEMBER IS TO TAKE THE TUBE FROM HEATHROW TO WATERLOO AND THEN TAKE A TRAIN TO DOVER.
BEST IN THIS INSTANCE TO TAKE CRUISE LINES TRANSFER.:mad:

Hi Jan,
I would recommend they use a private driver to take them to the ship. If they have more than one piece of luggage each, it is difficult by tube and train. Some people have done it, but I guess it all depends upon their age or how agile they are. Claudia has a list of several drivers and Steven Knibbs just posted on the Yahoo board this week and I heard wonderful things about him. After spending upwards of $10,000 on a vacation, another $250 isn't that bad.

I second Sheila's suggestion about a private car. I've done the plane, train, and automobile thing out of Heathrow and Gatwick in years past. Last June, I was Gatwick to Dover and hired a private car months ahead of time and it was wonderful. One driver, one car, one trip, and you're in Dover. I ran a lot of comparison prices and am thrilled with the Dover company that I used. Fair price and nice driver.
My driver was doing several legs of my trip as I came and went, in and out of Dover, then Eurostar to Paris and back to Ashford, then on to Gatwick. He was prompt, helpful, and a Brit who knows all the motorways and traffic patterns. Heathrow to Dover is not just down the street and to the right and, after an overnight flight, I was so happy to be relieved of any further trip details.
I vote for the private car.

Take the Tube from LHR to Charing Cross. Walk to Main Line Station.
Journey approx 55 min without waits.
Charing Cross to Dover via British Rail approx 1hr 45 min.costs about $70
Total cost about $90. + long walks. Just what one needs after an overnight flight!!!
Much better to take car or cruise ship transfer.
Must be very stubborn clients!!!!!:D

For 70 euros that marathon train and walking idea can BECOME a private car transfer.;)
Here is an example of prices from one company we used last cruise from Dover.
