Just got a commemorative magazine from HAL from when we toured the Noordam in NY along with a $150 coupon. In the magazine on page 8 is Sail7seas.:)

Is this magazine only being sent to folks who actually sailed the Noordam? I recall seeing Sail's photo in the Mariner Magazine, but don't think I ever got this one.

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. It really was an unbelievable experience. I still pinch myself sometimes to believe it really happened. :)

Now, Vic......How could we stray??? It's HAL for us, of course. Always has been since we first discovered what an HAL cruise is like and (most presumably) always will be. :)


Speaking of the magazine.......
It was really funny that (if this is the same magazine we're talking about??) the day we boarded Ryndam in April, apparently a supply of these magazines was loaded for the crew to read. Of course, we didn't know anything about it.

We were in the Lounge the first or second night and one of the bartenders kept looking at us. Finally, we laughed and asked.......do we have spinach in our teeth?? Nooo, Nooo, he said. But, I saw you both in the magazine today. Magazine? Huh? What are you talking about?

We got a copy of it and could then understand why so many crew people stopped to chat with us about it. What a load of fun. We met so many wonderful crew. Chatting and laughing and they got a big kick out of hearing all about the gorgeous Noordam. They were all soooo nice to us. But, then again, HAL crew always is so very nice, aren't they?

Think I'll go look back see if I can find the old thread about it all. Would be fun for me to reread it.
