View Full Version : Where does HAL dock in Seattle?

I noticed that there is a cruise terminal (30) and pier 66, both are listed for cruise ships. Please tell me where Westerdam docks. Also, does anyone know how close to the pier the nearest Hertz rental center is. I'm guessing we'll have to take a cab to pick up the rental unless hertz has a shuttle to and from the pier.
Thanks,
GN

HAL does not, unfortunately, use Pier 66 -- that would be too easy as it is right next door to my favorite Seattle Hotel (The Edgewater which is on Pier 67) and not all that far from where my sister lives -- so they must use Pier 30. As I recall from my summer visits, NCL used Pier 66, and maybe a Celebrity ship or two? No behemoths, though, as Pier 66 isn't that large.
Do not know about car rentals in town as we usually fly into Seattle and rent at the airport. Wish I could help more.

Actually, I was reading a review the other day from a poster on this Board and they docked at Pier 66. We are going to be on the Veendam in September and I think we will be at Pier 10 unfortunately.

Grannynurse:
HAL ships berth at Terminal 30, just south of downtown Seattle. Please see the attached link for the Port of Seattle Cruising homepage for more (and more accurate) information. Thrifty car rental has a kiosk at Terminal 30; I don't know that Hertz does. There is a concierge service at the Terminal; they may be able to help you. Have a great cruise:)

Dear Grannynurse:
You are most welcome. If you have any further questions, I'll try to answer them, but to be honest, I know less about Seattle than the average tourist.

we were at pier 66 for or recent 2 day veendam cruise. We rented a car here from Avis and then we dropped it off at the Avis place in seattle which is on 5th Ave and the people there drove us to the port. your best bet is to look at the port of seattle and it will tell you which ships are docked where on which days!. Because our documents said we were at pier 30 when in reality the port of seattle said we were at pier 66.
