We are seriously looking at the 10 day eastern caribbean cruise on the Noordam for the end of October. I was just wondering what the dress code schedule would be. I believe that there are usually three formal nights on a 10 day cruise but also that formal nights usually are held on sea days. Since this cruise does not have a sea day in the middle, I was wondering what is done. I think I've seen it mentioned that in these cases the third formal night is optional. Is this what this cruise does? How many informal nights are there as well?
Thanks!

If I recall correctly, there were 4 casual nights, 3 formal nights and 3 informal nights - and they rotated in that order, ending w/ a casual night of course.

More often than not on HAL ten day cruises, there are three formal nights, two informal nights and five casual.
The only one time I was on a ten day cruise that only had two Formal nights was when what would have been the third formal night fell on Halloween. Seeing as the ship was running a Halloween Party, they made it a casual night.

My 10-day Noordam Eastern Caribbean had three formal, two informal, and five casual evenings.
The formal were the second (at sea), sixth (St. Maarten), and ninth (at sea) evenings. Informal were third (at sea) and eighth (San Juan).
We had an early afternoon sail-away from Grand Turk (casual), and a late evening sail-away from Tortola (casual). That was also the evening of the bar-b-que.
