Looking at some of the many packing lists and they mention Theme Nights. What are these and should I be concerned? While we have a whole closet full of western wear, we have no flowery shirts.

What is the story? Should we bring theme clothes and surely they don't want us to pack our hats and boots? They take up WAAAYYYYY too much space in luggage and bringing the luggage for hat and boot storage sucks on a plane. Then again, how I will live without boots for a week is beyond me http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

On our recent Golden cruise I don't remember a Western night. No one dressed up that way, anyway! But many did dress "tropical" for Island night. There was a big "Island party" on the Terrace pool deck.

They had a western night on the Diamond to Mexico in the Fusion Lounge. The waiters were all dressed in western wear. They served beer in a mug shaped like a boot and you got to keep the mug. I don't think they do the western night on the Caribbean cruises.
