For those of you that might have missed Chris' epic Golden Princess Review, one of the very few down notes of his whole trip involved a trip to the casino:

quote:
When we first boarded and were touring the ship I stopped into the casino to introduce myself as a member of the Ocean Players Club, an organization of which all members of the Worlds Leading Cruise Lines belong to.
I was told without hesitation that Princess "did not like the way Ocean Players Club worked and was not recognizing it on their ships."
This was one huge difference and caught me by total surprise in comparison to other cruises we’ve been on. I don’t like to compare lines but it’s appropriate to mention here that Carnival does a way better job in this area. Once in the Ocean Players Club they communicate from ship to ship, casino host to casino host. Since joining the club I have been greeted as a returning friend in every Carnival casino I walked into. And I am a slot player, not some high roller, just a slot player!

With that as background, I wanted Chris to know that when we first boarded the Golden Princess on 4/10, we were joined in the elevator by two Princess staff wearing crew shirts that had a "Princess Cruise Lines" logo on one side, and on the other a graphic of a playing-card spade and the logo for - you guessed it -- "Ocean Players Club!"
When I asked about it, one of the crew responded "Oh yeah, it's this new thing they're doing."
Go figure.
Chris, it looks like the shirts got there before the plan did, but I thought you'd like to know there's hope for your future Princess cruises.

"Ohhh these moments we’re left with --
May you always remember
These moments are shared, by few
And those harbor lights, lord, they’re coming into view
We’ll bid our farewells much too soon
So drink it up, this one’s for you -
Honey, it’s been a lovely cruise."
