Hi Everyone,

We are booked on a 7 day Disney Magic cruise from August 12th through August 19th. I heard that booking the stingray snorkeling through either Captain Marvin's or Captain Bryan's is the best way to go to avoid the cruise crowds. Has anyone used either Captain Marvin's or Captain Bryan's? Is one better than the other? Are their tours easy to get to? We're going with a group of friends and their kids. Booking the stingray snorkeling outside of the cruise excursions is my idea----so I don't want it to turn out badly. Your advice is much appreciated. Thanks!!

We just returned & we did the stingray encounter on Castaway Cay. It was not crowded & was very informative. We choose the last time slot of the day & had plenty of time to interact w/the rays.

Have you visited the GC board lately? Capt Marvin hasn't been getting great press over there.

We booked a private charter with Soto's this year. You might want to check them out!

No matter what, it's an amazing excursion. It is truly a one-place-on-earth, once-in-a-lifetime thing to do on GC. Highly recommend it!

We used Capt Bryan's last year and we loved it! Had an awesome time, there were about 10 people on our boat where most of the others must have had 30-40 people on them. Couldn't have asked for a better excursion, well worth the money. We also bought the dvd after the fact, that their professional underwater videographer takes and it is very nice. Hope this helps!

We just got back a week ago and we had a wonderful experience with Captain Bryan's. The meeting area is within walking distance from the port then a bus takes you to the tri-moran (like a catamoran but has 3 "legs" instead of 2. The boat was nice and big and not crowded. There is a bathroom on board and they supply juice and water. They were very nice and accomodating. The price was good too! ($35 per person I believe). It was one of the highlights from our trip! My boys (4 and 6) are still talking about it and said it was one of their favorite things about the trip as well.
