We are flying into Stockholm and home from Copenhagen. Does anyone know how far the piers are from the airport and the price of a cab? Trying to decide whether to stick with Oceania's transfers.

The distance between the airport and the pier in Stockholm is about 28 miles, and in Copenhagen it is about 6 miles.

Thanks for the info, Shari (my younger daughter's middle name). Do you have any idea about the cab fare from the pier to the airport in Stockholm and Copenhagen?

Last year we paid close to $100 cab fare from downtown Stockholm to the airport. We also took the high-speed train that goes direct from downtown Stockholm to the airport - if I recall, it was under $25/pp. The cab fare from the Marriott to the pier in Copenhagen was around $10, and from the pier to the Marriott around $15, so figure on $25 or so.

Husband wants to know whether there are any advantages to using the ship's transfers rather than going it alone. I know it is easier, but taking the train to Stockholm sounds like fun (and then we would have a lot more money for the now unmentionable "c" charge in the dining room - LOL).
Also, if you get to the ship too early to board, what happens to your luggage? Does Oceania have a holding area for it or do you have to babysit it?
Thanks for the info!

When we flew into Stockholm (arrived around 9 AM) for a cruise, we took the train from the airport to downtown, stored our luggage in a locker at the train station, and walked to Gamla Stan to sightsee. When we were done, (around 3 PM), we got a cab from the train station to the ship. Great day.
