While lurking for photos of CP I realized I didn't do my due diligence. So I got my photos together of our Alaska cruise taken the first week in Sept, 2003 about the Star Princess.

Enjoy - there are a lot of awesome pictures of the Tracey Arm Fjord (my wife says I got carried away).

Wow - thanks for sharing these (and getting carried away!) - they're beautiful - will have to put it on my cruise list to do! Could you hear the commentary on your balcony??

Okay, I didn't want to look at any Alaska (Tracy Arm) photos before our cruise but couldn't help myself to sneek a peek http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif How beautiful! Thanks for posting http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

CassCruise,
Yes we could hear the commentary quite well from our deck because it was simlcast on the TV and we just turned it up. We also had a champage breakfast served to our room that morning with coffee, fruits, rolls and crab quiche. Our neighbors were from Mexico City so they furnished the reposado to keep us warmhttp://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

The author was awesome and had a lot of stories to tell about SE Alaska and did several slide presentations in the Theater during the day. But, let's face it, he was also there to promote and sign his books.

Thank you, Thank you. That was awesome! I loved all the pictures and the commentary. We will be there before too long and I can't wait.

What camera did you use?

Last year we were on the Pacific Princess and one of the stops was Tracy Arm. It was in September and besides the fantastic fall colors the Arm was just beautiful. I too got carried away with taking pictures because I could not help myself. It was so beautiful. Thanks for showing your pictures and bringing back some wonderful memories.

Thanks for the photos. On what deck number was your cabin (in other words, how far up were you?) I'll be cruising Tracy Arm on the Regal in just a little over 1 month. Don't have a balcony but will have a choice of decks for viewing, so should I go for the higher or lower options?

Your pictures were absolutely beautiful. My husband and I were thinking of skipping Tracy Arm and just Going to Glacier Bay. Now, we are faced with a dilema. Is one place better than the other? Comments please, this will be our first cruise to Alaska.

WOW! Great pictures. We gave up Glacier Bay to sail on the Diamond Princess this summer which goes to Tracy Arm-now I don't feel so bad.

Langhorns: I use an Olympus 2100 Ultra Zoom - kinda old, but tried and true.
jsiegel: We were in A254 (Aloha) on the Star. I don't think it much matters how high you are. It was beautiful anywhere.

Thanks for posting the pics. I sure miss Alaska! Was on the Pacific Princess last June and enjoyed every minute. Alaska is so beautiful, it's not difficult to get carried away - just ask my husband! I sure didn't realize I took so many pictures until we got back. This is just the kick in the butt I need to finish putting my pics in my photo book. I can't believe it's been almost a year and I still don't have that book together http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif I sure hope to get back there soon!
