I read yesterday where someone on CC board had problems with Oceania changing their paid for air deviation back to Oceania's original flights.
Wonder how many times we will have to check with TED and Lufthansa to be safe for our several days early arrival in Istanbul?? Our TA double checks our cruise info upon receipt....but that might be too late to get back on original flights.

I wouldnt worry about it..it doesnt happen very often and if there is a change the TA is always notified..

I am such a "worry wart". If I prepare for the worst, sometimes it never happens. We are so excited about our Nautica cruise Istanbul/Singapore. We have sailed on the Tahitian Princess so know a little bit about Oceania ships.

I understand..you are going to have a wonderful trip..all the kudos in the world from people on this board cant really prepare you for the wonderful experience you are about to have!

You will have a wonderful experience.......I know......Oceania is the BEST....would like to express to be careful with your fights......Oceania changed flights without letting the TA know......this was done in March. agreed to the Air deviation cost and a Airfare differential Service Fee......just found this out by calling airlines to get seating assignments......did not receive any word from Oceania Air department.......the reason I know....I am the TA......just be sure and call your TA and let her check yours flights .....

We have our seats on TED to O'Hare and Lufthansa to Frankfurt/Istanbul.
Don't have seats on Cathay Pacific from Singapore/Hong Kong/LAX or United to Phoenix. Will ck with TA when closer to leaving for seats.
Also I will call TED/Lufthansa every month see that we are OK. I don't trust anyone any more. Follow up....follow up. Altho our TA is very thorough and we "bug" her a lot over nit picky things. Since traveling with friends who will meet us at O'Hare and sit across the aisle from us, need to keep on top of it.
Never know if flights or times will change in the next 6 months.

Although I got my own tickets 11 months ago, the flights, times, seats have been changed around 10 times since last July. I monitor it weekly. We are on Delta connecting to Virgin. Delta has been just awful about this-everytime they change the flight number and time, we lose our seat assignments and I have to get back on the phone to reconfirm the new flights and get new seats. The paper tickets I was issued don't resemble even remotely the itinerary we now have. It's maddening!
