My kids, 12 & 15, had an inside on the Caribbean Princess. I was surprised at how roomy the room was. It is VERY dark in there with no lights on. They had an inside right next to the elevators on the Aloha deck and heard no noise at all from them.

We have an inside booked for the Sep 25 sailing. Do you have any pictures of the inside cabin? Did they refill the ice bucket every day and how big is the fridge? Hey all,
Just off the 4/17-24 sailing of the Caribbean Princess. We had an inside cabin, category KK. Caribe deck, 1/2 way between the aft elevators and the back of the ship.

I thought the room was roomy, better than I expected. The closet was plenty large, and plenty of drawers for storage. As others mentioned, it was quite dark at night, which is great for me. We did bring along a nightlight for the bathroom (which I left there!). There is a separate closet where the safe is, with plenty of shelves. I would say we didn't even use 1/2 of the storage space available to us.

When we arrived, we had a queen bed instead of two twins. We had them change it to twins, and it made it seem MUCH MUCH larger. One large center aisle instead of two smaller ones on the outside made a big difference.

The mirrors made it larger, although it made it harder to take pictures...I was always in the pic, with the flash going off!!

The fridge was a standard dorm-sized mim-fridge. We fit soda in there, couple bottles of wine, and the ice bucket, which was refilled daily.

More questions? Fire away!
-Jake

jake,
where did you get the wine to put in your fridge? Did you bring it onboard?
Sounds like a good idea, pre-dinner cocktail.

Seayalater,
I brought it onboard with me. We took it too the dining room. Even with the corkage fee, it was cheaper than the bottles they were offering. They were by no means expensive bottles. most of what they had were in the 20-dollar range, some more, some less.

SoBayJake: How was the fun factor on the Caribbean Princess? Did you write a review yet?

Thanks for answering my questions! We will be in a KK cabin D 508 is it quiet there? How are the movies outside? Did they show newer ones? Do they make sure no kids are in the adults only pool? How was the Cafe? I heard the food is outstanding there!
quote:
Originally posted by SoBayJake:

We have Cat. JJ on Aloha. It is an inside cabin (quad), basically 2 sets of bunk beds. Anybody have something similar? We have had 4 in a cabin before on RCCL and Celebrity but with a window.

Argosy: I haven't written a "fun factor" review yet...just a review on the inside cabin.

Sue222: Movies Under The Stars (or MUTS) was awesome. We saw "Somethings Gotta Give" (didn't like it) and "Intolerable Cruelty" (liked it). Aside from the movies, the experience itself is well worth it! I never saw anyone in the "adults only" pool, but we never made it up there on sea days, so I can't say for sure. If memory serves, there is no bar or band up there, so its quieter. As for food, I thought it was great. Pizza/burgers were available while the sun was up pretty much. Dining room food was excellent. I will get flamed for this, but I thought Sterling Steakhouse was not worth the additional money. It seemed as if we were rushed through the meal, and the one (of four) steaks was undercooked (asked for medium, was more like rare).

More to come later,
Jake
