I am booking a 4/3 cruise for the 5 of us - my son, his wife, dd 3, ds 4 mo , and myself- for next April 12 2007. We are very excited :D and this will be my daughter-in-law's and grandchildren's first cruise! I wanted to reserve the dining plan for us while on the 3 days at WDW, but my TA said that it is not offered for the 4/3 packages, only if each segment is booked separately :( . OK experienced Disney cruisers - is that really true? are there any other options? I am trying to save where we can so we can splurge when we want to. Thanks for the info

Your TA is correct. You would have to book the cruise separate from the land portion. In order to qualify to purchase the dining plan you must purchase a package that includes hotel and park tickets separate from the cruise.

There is no meal plan available (regular or free) when you book the land/sea package. I exchanged several emails with Disney over the exact issue, and was politely told "it is not offered". I booked the land sea package right from Disney. I would never do it again.
