If someone sends a bottle of wine to me in my stateroom though Princess, will they open it at no charge, or is there a corking fee?
Thanks

If you take it to the dining room there will likely be a $10.00 corkage fee.
If you want to enjoy it in your cabin, just ask your steward for a wine opener and glasses..no charge then.

We have never been charged a corkage fee when it has been sent as a gift. Since it was purchased through the cruise line, it is the same as buying it onboard yourself.
If they attempt to charge anyone a corkage fee, they are in error and you need to nicely let them know that it was sent to your stateroom.

The waitstaff knows which wines Princess carries and will recognize it immediately as a gift. A corkage fee will not be charged.
And if you happen to bring aboard a bottle or two of wine that you know is on the Princess wine list...you can save yourself the corkage fee! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
For other bottles of wine we've brought on board, it's been hit or miss. Some have charged the corkage fee and some haven't.

No corkage fee for wines on Princes' list.
As a matter of fact, we brought a bottle of Veuve-Cliquot champagne purchased in FLL to Sabatinis one night and, since it wasn't as cold as it should have been, the Maitre D offered to exchange it for a cold one...LOL...

On the Dawn, we found coupons for the wine sent as gifts in our room. You can call room service and have them delivery the wines to the room or to your table at dinner, in which case there is no corkage charge.

We plan on bringing some wine with us. How do we find out the list of wines that Princess provides so we can make sure we bring them?
Thanks

If you look on the princess web site, like you are going to send a gift to someone on board, the list will pop up.
